🢖 What Art Supplies Should I Prepare for My Children at Home?

We recommend the following list of items be prepared at home granting children the ability to draw and practice from home.

• Pencil Set (HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B Charcoal)*
• Pencil Crayons*
• Markers / Fine Liners
• Erasers
• Watercolor Set*
• Pencil Sharpeners
• Easel or Ergonomic Work Desk

* Can be purchased at your local Peaceful Art Studio

For those who have extra space at home, children love a home space where they can create to their heart's desire!

🢖 My Child Loves Art but Lacks Technique. How Can He/She Improve?

With the right guidance, our instructors will explain and demonstrate techniques and visual presentations to learners.

While we usually do not assign homework for our younger learners, we do expect full participation in classroom activities. Different techniques are taught in class and learners are expected to utilize these techniques throughout their art pieces.

By participating in class, learners will catch onto a variety of art knowledge and skills to be incorporated into their artist toolkits.

🢖 What Skills Can My Children Learn in Beginner Creative Art Classes?

We guide students to develop a love for the arts and inspire them to create through increased drawing abilities. Students will be taught the fundamentals of art including:

• Line quality and confidence
• Shapes and forms
• Colors and shading
• Proportions and compositions
• Basic drawing techniques
• Observation skills

🢖 How Often Should Beginner Learners Practice When Away from the Studio?

Practice makes perfect! Artistic skill is no exception. By applying what is taught in the studio to daily practices and school projects, learners should see a gradual improvement in work quality.

We recommend younger learners to start a visual diary recorded through drawings. This can include events, activities, social interactions, feelings, and emotions. Between 20 – 30 minutes of practice a day is ample to hone basic drawing techniques.

🢖 How Long Does It Take for Kids to See Progress Starting from an Early Age?

We completely understand that every learner is different and that the speed at which learners pick up content varies by individual. Our small class sizes of no more than a 6:1 learner-instructor ratio allow individual learners to follow their own pace of learning.

Learners work on their own independent projects once teaching outlines are provided.
